A HIDDEN OLD KEYS RESTARAUNT NEAR KEY WEST
While Geiger Key Marina includes a working marina with boat slips, RV park, & fish camp, the on-site restaurant is the real star. Tucked away from the busy Duval Street scene, this backside of paradise attracts locals, boaters, and travelers who want great food without the crowds.
The short, gorgeous drive off the highway feels like stepping back into a simpler version of the Florida Keys, where waterfront dining is casual, friendly, and all about the food.

WHAT MAKES THE RESTAURANT SPECIAL
Classic Fish Camp Dining
Geiger Key fish camp restaurant stays true to traditional classic dishes and signature Keys’ flavors. The menu focuses on seafood done right, no unnecessary frills, just fresh ingredients and solid execution. It’s approachable, comforting, and exactly what you hope to find at a waterfront Florida Keys fish camp.
Waterfront Seating With a View
This has to be one of the best waterfront hidden-gem tiki bars we’ve rolled up on. With plenty of outdoor tables overlooking the canal, it offers diners a front-row seat to passing boats, pristine waters, and mangrove-lined scenery. It’s one of the best spots near Key West to enjoy a relaxed meal outdoors without feeling rushed or crowded. And that’s a GREAT thing!
We loved watching all the tropical fish, including the parrotfish and Mangrove snappers, feasting on our shrimp tails. It’s a true Keys experience!

Casual, Local Atmosphere
This tiki bar feels welcoming from the moment you arrive. The staff is super friendly, service is unpretentious, and the crowd has a cool mix of Florida Keys locals and us locals for a week, who all seem all too happy to be there. Dogs are often lazily lounging beside tables, adding to the easygoing vibe.
Remember, the Florida Keys run at a different pace. You’re meant to linger and sip for a while. That means, your server is ALSO on KEYS TIME. Don’t rush it. We promise, The Turtle Hospital will still be there!
WHAT TO EAT AT GEIGER KEY MARINA RESTAURANT
The menu covers all the Keys basics with a twist, making it a perfect stop any time of day. We cruised in mid-afternoon after escaping Key West and three cruise ships for a quieter off-the-beaten-path snack.
Listen, if you want the perfect snack in the Florida Keys, grab their famous peel-and-eat Keys pink shrimp, the smoked fish dip, and two beers, the Crazy Lady and Iguana Bait. Now kick back and breathe in happiness!

Sunday Breakfast Favorites
Who loves brunch? Geiger Key serves up a spectacular Sunday kind of breakfast that’s perfect before a day on the water or exploring Key West. You can grab the classic eggs, potatoes, toast, or…get a little crazy.
- Enjoy a classic Benedict and add Hogfish
- Fisherman-style omelets
- Avocado toast topped with fresh shrimp
Sit back and sip endless Mimosas or indulge in a Key West Bloody Mary. Does it get any better than this?

Seafood Dishes Locals Love
Lunch and dinner are the true stars here, which is why this spot has such a loyal following. Standout menu items include:
- Keys Famous Grouper Reuben Sandwich
- Hogfish tacos
- Seared Tuna Nachos
- Hogfish Sliders
- Had a great day out on the water? They’ll cook it!
Portions are generous, seafood is consistently fresh, and the menu offers enough variety to please both adventurous eaters and classic seafood lovers.

THE VIBE: RELAXED, WATERFRONT, AND UNPRETENTIOUS
The restaurant’s open-air layout and picnic-style seating keep things casual and comfortable. This isn’t a dress-up dining experience; it’s a place to kick back, enjoy good food, and soak in the Keys atmosphere.
It’s equally suited for a long lunch, an early dinner, Sunday Brunch, or a sunset meal with a drink in hand. The pace is slower here, and that’s exactly the point.
