Anastasia State Park, located at 300 Anastasia Park Road, St. Augustine, Florida, holds great historical significance. Everything from the park’s land purchase by the Florida Board of Forestry and Parks to the coquina quarry and coquina rock, which were used to build the Castillo de San Marcos.
Additionally, the park includes Conch Island, which became connected to Anastasia Island after Hurricane Dora in 1964. Because of this natural event, it resulted in the formation of the state park as it exists today.

Anastasia State Park became our top Florida Fall camping destination. Located on the Atlantic Ocean with acres of unspoiled beaches, miles of park roads to bike ride, and tidal marshes to explore, THIS beautiful maritime hammock makes the PERFECT Fall getaway!
NOT sold on the camping part!? Ok, hear me out…For starters, imagine waking up to the sound of waves crashing and the smell of pine trees in the crisp autumn air. Fall camping at Anastasia State Park offers just that—and more! With its pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and rich wildlife, it’s a natural playground waiting to be explored. Spend the day or several and take advantage of Florida’s historic coast and all the natural beauty.

Camping Options That Won’t Break the Bank.
As one of our favorite Florida State Parks, it is a popular family camping destination in Florida. The Anastasia State Park Campground offers cozy tent campsites and convenient RV camping. Not ready to rough it? Consider one of the park’s charming cabins on one of America’s prettiest beach campsites! Anastasia has it all! With amenities like restrooms, hot showers, and picnic areas, you can embrace the great outdoors without sacrificing comfort.
The park has 139 spacious sites that accommodate both tent and RV camping. Most campsites have a small wooded area and a wooden fence dividing the sites. PERFECT for families and anyone looking to camp for the first time. We love that the park campgrounds are kept immaculate and the bathrooms are a short distance from each site.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
- The maximum RV length allowed at Anastasia State Park in Florida is 38 feet. However, the Coquina Loop area of the park has sites that can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet long.
- Most campsites have picnic table, electrical hookups, fire rings, and water hookups.
- Anastasia State Park in Florida does not have sewer hookups at its campsites.
- The St. Augustine Amphitheater is within walking distance from the MOST campsites. Be aware that there could be a concert going on during your camping trip. Just saying…
- The Queen Conch & Sea Bean Loops are tent-only areas.
- The Coquina Loop is the closest to the beach.
To make a reservation, visit Florida State Parks, select Anastasia State Park and your desired date. You can also call 1-800-326-3521 between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. to check cancellations. You’ll have a list of sites with pictures to choose from and the distance from the beach.
Honestly, you can hear the waves from ALL the campsites so don’t be discouraged if your desired location is booked! Once you arrive, check-in at the ranger station, grab some firewood, and get ready for a great time!
PRO TIP– Florida residents can book eleven months in advance. Take advantage of this ESPECIALLY during Christmas and St. Augustine’s Nights Of Lights.
