Great question Friends! Over the past couple of years, our choice of travel has been road trips filled with outdoor camping. We load the truck or the Jeep with camping gear and hit the road for adventure and epic camping destinations. Even though air mattresses and the air bed have come a long way, they tend to take up too much space if we are packing our small Kelty tent. ANYONE who values a GREAT night’s sleep while out camping. While searching for a great cot pad, we stumbled across a few that promised us the world yet left us bleary-eyed the next morning. I liked the simplicity and ease of use of an inflatable pad, but again it left me feeling drained in the morning. Go for the plush!

All the great features.

​For us, there is so much to love for this camping cot pad. It features 3 inches of memory foam, measures 75″L x 30″ W x 3″Th, and is the perfect fit for a large cot.  This comfortable pad rolls up beautifully and completely lies flat once unrolled. I tend to shift throughout the night and for the most part, this camping cot pad stays put! 

Let’s chat for a moment about the carrying bag. This isn’t a smallish item. After MANY camping trips stuffing it back in its carrying case, one might expect the zippers to start to give. Not so far! The carrying case is super well made and has taken quite a lot of abuse from us. It isn’t stated in the description, but during one of our outdoor adventures, it started to pour while we were packing up and our gear was soaked. After we returned, I immediately took them out fearing the worst. When I pulled them out, they were dry!

We also love that they can be used without a cot. One of our tents is a tiny Kelty for 3. We roll this out when we are just passing through for a night. These fit perfectly on the tent floor and allow us to sleep well. Just throw them in your tent.

• It’s not cheap and we aren’t 20 anymore! Listen, Friends, we’ve slept in all kinds of camping situations. No more waking up with an achy neck and a back that is killing you! 
• It takes up a lot of valuable packing space. These are not small! However, if you have the room, they squish in all kinds of spaces. You can even lay them flat and pack some gear on top. Even when we take the Jeep to camp and space is at a premium, we load this bad boy up!
